Followup on Judge Alito and "One Person-One Vote."
I posted some information about the potential controversy over Judge Alito's statements criticizing the "one person-one vote" redistricting cases back on November 29, with a followup on December 1.
Now there is a Washington Times article on the subject. According to the article, Alito apparently has assured Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Arlen Specter that he believes in equal representation and believes that "one person-one vote" is a deeply embedded principle that is beyond attack.
Althouse has a post on this topic, too. Althouse's post sheds some light on Alito's family history as it might pertain to the topic.
